Job Number: 568 Job Title: Application Engineer Location: Chicago, IL Salary: Education: Requirements: 5-10 years of laser cutting machine experience 5 years of Laser Application Engineer experience or Laser Operator experience with a strong sales aptitude A minimum of a Technical Associates Degree in electronics, laser or electro/optical disciplines, but a four year Bachelor’s Degree is preferred Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to write reports and effective business correspondence Prior use of CAD/CAM software for programming test and customer parts Requires the ability to travel with valid driver’s license and passport Description: To technically demonstrate machine operation, communicate salient machine features and relate them to customer applications Respond to customer application and training needs, resolving machine and customer issues, demonstrating an ability to analyze machine/user malfunctions to assure machine operation in accordance to product specifications Assist in the continuous improvement/development of Mazak technology and application know-how
